The Galilea Forest Conservation REDD+ Forest Ame, has the main objective to preserve the region’s native forest by reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) caused by deforestation, also preserving and protecting local biodiversity through inter-institutional programs and activities, the development of activities that promote CO2 emissions reduction. For example, the project includes beekeeping activities, ecological and scientific tourism, scientific research and training, and the training of community rangers.
